September 8, 2012 – Cornfest

We raised $21,330.41 for the Edmonton Firefighters Burn Treatment Society! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event another huge success!

On Saturday, September 8, The Marketplace at Callingwood is hosting the 14th Annual Cornfest in support of the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society (Edmonton Chapter). Our goal is to raise $20K for this important charity and we need the community’s support!

Each year, the Firefighters’ Burn Unit treats approximately 200 burn victims in the Edmonton area. The majority are young children who have been scalded or firefighters who are injured on the job. Fortunately, the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society exists to help local burn victims through research and development, special equipment and training, and the Alberta Children Burn camp.

This exciting family festival takes place in the parking lot of the shopping centre and includes:

  • Hot buttered taber corn
  • Tons of delicious festival-style food & refreshments
  • Fire truck tours with the Edmonton Firefighters
  • Petting zoo
  • Pony rides
  • Bouncy castles
  • Live musical entertainment
  • Games and rides
  • 50/50 Raffle
  • And much more!

Tickets: Cornfest will be using a ticket system for purchase of food items and participation in games and activities. Tickets are available for purchase in the ticket tent located near the center area of the event.

Please join us for this fun event that makes a difference in our community!
