On Saturday, September 10 from 12-5pm, The Marketplace at Callingwood is hosting the 18th Annual Cornfest, a family event in Edmonton that raises funds for the Edmonton Firefighter’s Burn Treatment Society.
Each year, the Firefighters’ Burn Unit treats approximately 200 burn survivors in the Edmonton area. The majority are young children who have been scalded or firefighters who are injured on the job. Fortunately, the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society exists to help local burn survivors through research and development, special equipment and training, and the Alberta Children Burn camp.
This exciting community event takes place in the parking lot of The Marketplace at Callingwood shopping centre and includes:
- Fresh, hot buttered taber corn from Tanner Farms (by donation)
- Hot dogs and other delicious food & refreshments
- Fire truck tours with the Edmonton Firefighters
- Petting zoo
- Pony rides
- Bouncy castles
- Bubble Show at 1-2pm
- Magic Show at 3-4pm
- Games
- 50/50 Raffle
- And much more!
Tickets: Cornfest uses a ticket system for purchase of food items and participation in games and activities. Food and activities range from 1 ticket to 5 tickets. Tickets are available for purchase for $1.00 each in the ticket tent located near the center area of the event.
