September 9, 2017 – Callingwood Cornfest
September 9, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
On Saturday, September 9 from 12-4pm, The Marketplace at Callingwood is hosting the 19th Annual Cornfest presented by Servus Credit Union. Cornfest is a family event in Edmonton that raises funds for the Edmonton Firefighter’s Burn Treatment Society.
Each year, the Firefighters’ Burn Unit treats approximately 200 burn survivors in the Edmonton area. The majority are young children who have been scalded or firefighters who are injured on the job. Fortunately, the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society exists to help local burn survivors through research and development, special equipment and training, and the Alberta Children Burn camp.
This exciting community event takes place at the Marketplace at Callingwood shopping centre in the covered courtyard area and parking lot near Safeway. Attractions include:
- Fresh, hot buttered taber corn (by donation)
- Hot dogs and refreshments
- Fire truck tours with the Edmonton Firefighters

- Pony rides
- Hay rides in the parking lot (pickup location in the courtyard entrance near Callingwood Professional Centre, 6650-177St.)
- Bouncy castles
