September 6, 2017 – Fitness at the Farmers’ Market
September 6, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Callingwood Farmers’ Market invites you to join us for Fitness at the Farmers’ Market! We’ll be offering free fitness classes every Wednesday from 1-1:45pm until September 20. Our certified fitness instructors will lead you through Zumba for beginners and Circuit Training classes, alternating each week. These classes are drop-in and there is no fee to participate. They are designed for all-ages and all fitness levels. Bring the kids and they can join in the fun while you get moving!
The fitness classes will take place rain or shine in the covered courtyard area at The Marketplace at Callingwood shopping centre, 6655-178 Street. Look for entrances to the courtyard area next to Safeway or DQ.
September Schedule as follows:
September 6 & 20 – Bootcamp / Circuit Training*
September 13 – Zumba
*Circuit/Boot camp, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.
The Wednesday farmers’ markets run from 12-5pm, featuring more than 30 vendors for you to check out before or after the fitness classes.
In partnership with Jamie Platz YMCA. Schedule and class themes are subject to change without notice.
