 On Saturday, September 10, The Marketplace at Callingwood hosted the 13th Annual Cornfest in support of the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society (Edmonton Chapter). We raised $23,919.57 for the charity and wish to extend the sincerest thank you to the community, sponsors and volunteers.
Each year, the Firefighters' Burn Unit treats approximately 200 burn victims in the Edmonton area. The majority are young children who have been scalded or firefighters who are injured on the job. Fortunately, the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society exists to help local burn victims through research and development, special equipment and training, and the Alberta Children Burn camp.
